Welcome to The Nutty Duck at Trevalsa Court Hotel. Our 2 AA Rosette award winning restaurant is informal and relaxed, with wonderful views over the Mevagissey Bay, so if you enjoy good food and stunning views, we’re the place for you. And if you’re wondering ‘why The Nutty Duck?’, make sure you ask our friendly staff for the fun story behind our quirky name. 

Food and Drink 

The abundance of excellent local produce, fish, meat, dairy and vegetables, all sustainable and traceable, is the foundation for our menus, filled with intriguingly interesting but ultimately, simply cooked dishes. Whether you’re looking for lunch in between seeing the sights of Cornwall, a three course à la carte dinner with that special someone, or to sample one of the Duchy’s best afternoon teas, we’d be delighted to welcome you.

Lunch

Stop by for fresh Cornish Mussels en-route to the beach, take a break from your coastal walk to refuel with Chef Adam’s delicious Bavette Steak and Chips or fit us into your local sightseeing for coffee and cake with a fantastic sea view.

Afternoon Tea

Each afternoon we welcome guests and visitors to join us in the dining room for homemade sandwiches, delicious fresh cakes and our freshly cooked scones, Cornish clotted cream and local strawberry jam – remember it’s always jam first!

SUNDAY LUNCH

Sunday lunch at The Nutty Duck is traditional with a twist. Created by our chef Adam Cawood, our roast is the ultimate dinner with all the trimmings – get together and enjoy delicious locally sourced food, with stunning views over the Mevagissey Bay.

Our Ethos

We use only the finest, freshest ingredients many of which are sourced locally in Cornwall. We are committed to supporting local companies and following principles of sustainability. Many of our ingredients come from local farms and fisheries, ensuring the everything is traceable and as environmentally friendly as possible.

Our Chef

Adam Cawood brings his years of experience to create interesting, yet simple home-cooked food. From the fish in the sea to the game up on the moors, Adam believes that Cornwall is a wonderful and very diverse place to find inspiration. His ethos is to let the flavours speak for themselves and always focus on the customer having an enjoyable experience.

Celebrations

Trevalsa Court Restaurant is an intimate venue for parties, celebrations and small wedding receptions. With our quality service, freshly cooked food and fine sea views, our restaurant offers a fantastic space for celebrations of all kinds. Our elegant dining room can seat up to 60 people. You can take the all or part of the restaurant for your special celebration.
